Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by reviewing patient medical histories and conducting screenings.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Provide support in orthodontics, pediatrics, and other specialized areas as required.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental office environment.

Qualifications

Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages.
Familiarity with Cleardent or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Previous experience with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience with Itero scanning is considered an asset

Employment Details

In office hours 2 of the 4 week days and 2 Saturdays per month. Choice of Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-6pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm Alternate Fridays 9am-5pm . Saturday schedule is from 8am-3pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00-$52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
