Southbrook Dental Group is searching for an experienced Associate Dentist to join this well-established and growing practice. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, processes excellent clinical skills, and enjoys working as a team.
Job Overview:
Our clinic is seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Associate who is proficient in general dentistry and has strong communication skills, to join our busy practice in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will be taking over an existing part-time position as our lovely associate is taking on more hours at her primary clinic. The position is for 1-2 days per week;
Ideal start date January 2024
* Monday 11-7pm
* Wednesday 8:30am-4:00pm
* option to grow to a 3rd day (Friday) in the future.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality dental care and will possess a strong commitment to patient satisfaction. This role involves working collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive dental services, including restorative and preventative dentistry, surgical extractions and endodontic procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Perform dental examinations and diagnose oral diseases.
· Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
· Conduct restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
· Conduct surgical and endodontic procedures.
· Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
· Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software systems.
· Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.
· Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education.
Skills:
· Proficiency in all aspects of dentistry.
· Strong understanding of medical terminology to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
· Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis.
· Experience in a dental office setting to ensure familiarity with daily operations and protocols.
· Able to communicate respectfully with the dental team and patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or Completion of the NDEB Equivalency Exam
· Certified with NDEB Licensed and in good standing with the Provincial College Registered, licensed, and in good standing with the (College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta)CDSA
· Valid CPR certification
· Sedation certification would be considered an asset
· Minimum 5 years of Canadian Dental experience
· Excellent communication skills
