We are seeking an experienced Associate General Dentist to join our team in Baffin Island, Nunavut, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
As an Associate General Dentist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care. A deep understanding of Inuit culture is essential for this position, as you will be working with communities that have limited access to dental and healthcare resources. A respectful and open-minded approach is critical when serving vulnerable patient populations.
Key Responsibilities for the Assignment:
- Provide comprehensive dental care, including patient examinations, diagnosis, and same-day treatments such as restorative procedures and extractions.
- Utilize dental software (e.g., Dexis) for patient management and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care, with a particular focus on pediatric dentistry.
- Stay informed of advancements in dental technologies and treatment techniques.
Position Details:
- 4-week shifts, four times per year, in Baffin Island, Nunavut.
- Housing, travel, and meal allowances are provided.
- Competitive compensation package.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Valid Practice License.
- Valid Practice Insurance.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Letter of good standing from the Canadian Dental Association (CDA).
- Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD program.
- Criminal Record Check
